About the speaker:
Giwoong Jung is an HK professor at the Center for International Area Studies, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. He is also the Vice Head of HK+ National Strategies Research Project Agency for the National Research Foundation of Korea at the Center for International Area Studies at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and the Vice President of the Korean Political Science Association. He received his Ph.D. from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. His doctoral thesis is about the negotiation between the USA and DPRK by applying the two-face game theory, which is the expansive interpretation of Robert D. Putnam’s two-level game theory. He has held several prestigious positions, such as the president of the Minerva Political Science Association, the president of the Association of Global Studies Education, and the president of the Sports Politics and Diplomacy Society. He is now also the vice president of the 21st Century Political Science Association. His research interests include international cooperation, international negotiation, the Unification of the Korean Peninsula, information revolution and power transformation, and sports politics and diplomacy.
