Lecture by Professor Akio Takahara, University of Tokyo.

Professor Takahara’s research focuses on contemporary Chinese politics and diplomacy, including analyses of the Chinese Communist Party and Japan–China relations. His work aims to contribute to the peace and development of China and East Asia, while offering insights for Japan’s foreign policy. He highlights the significance of studying Chinese politics in Japan—given the deep economic and cultural ties, geographical proximity, and the breadth of available information.

This lecture takes place in the framework of the IDIS China Program.
