Chinese Calligraphy and Philosophy Workshop: An Experiential Learning Opportunity for IDIS Students

As part of the Chinese Studies Program at the Institute of International Relations (I.D.I.S.) of Panteion University, students of the A1 and B1 Chinese language classes had the opportunity to take part in a truly unique and hands-on learning experience.

They visited the welcoming studio of visual artist Ioanna Lin, where they attended a special workshop on Chinese calligraphy and philosophy, conducted entirely in Mandarin Chinese.

This distinctive experience allowed participants to directly engage with a deeper layer of Chinese culture and aesthetics. At the same time, through this immersive setting, students were able to strengthen their oral and listening skills in a stimulating and authentic environment—practicing the language through the lens of Chinese art and philosophical reflection.
